• To initiate steps for providing better information as well as formal education for students of different sections of the society, specially the weaker section through the network of its institutions throughout the country.
  • To start centers of specialized coaching for deserving candidates, specially of the weaker section, in order to help them secure suitable careers.
  • To open English medium schools to provide education to the sons and daughters of the scavengers along with others.
  • To open job-oriented vocational training centers for the unemployed youth belonging to weaker sections of society and to impart them training in different vocations such as typing, motor driving, electrical, sewing, embroidery, leather work, beauty care, computer and office management, primary health care, etc.
  • To function as an advance centre of research and training for liberated scavengers, their wards and persons of weaker sections of society.
  • To undertake study, survey, analysis, research on socio-economic problems, socio-cultural acceptance and various socio-economic developmental aspects.
  • To organize seminars, symposia, special lectures on different dimensions of sanitation, energy, role of voluntary agencies, problems of the weaker sections, and other problems of urgent academic interest.
  • To act as a transmission belt and conduit for widespread effective dissemination of the Sulabh sanitation technologies of human excreta disposal, power generation and impact of steps for sponsoring motilities and status elevation launched for the benefit of deprived millions.
  • To liberate scavengers from the inhuman practice of manual scavenging by implementing the Programme of conversion of dry latrines into water pour-flush toilets by using the technology of twin-pit, pour-flush, compost toilets developed by Sulabh.
  • To implement Programmes for improvement in environmental sanitation by providing affordable sanitation facilities to the people in the country.
  • To function as advance centre of research and training for students working on problems of sanitation, power generation, role of voluntary organizations, weaker section and training and development.
