Eco Club

In 2000, Sulabh Public School became a member of Eco Club, under the Ministry of Environment, NCT Delhi. Since then, our school has actively participated in various Programmes organized by the Ministry of Environment. The Club has conducted painting and slogan writing competitions on important occasions such as Diwali, Earth Day, Environment Day, etc. The young members have taken pledge not to use non-biodegradable things for example plastic bags or polythene or shiny wrapping paper etc.

To prevent contamination due to chemical colors, on the occasion of Holi festival, natural colors were prepared and distributed by the students, to play Holi in a more conducive way. Many posters made by the students of Sulabh Public School highlighting this, were displayed at Eco Club Meeting at Bal Bhawan, New Delhi.

Students from Class VIII-X participated in nature’s trail at Asola Wild Life Sanctuary, Tuglakabad, New Delhi. On August 18th, 2010, 5 students of Class VIII participated in a training Programme held at Sri Ram School, Vasant Vihar, in which they were made aware and learnt about the present day burning issues such as global warming, mercury – the slow poison, etc.
